# Indagate developer documentation > Indagate is a governed industrial edge-AI platform for device fleets, VLM/VLA model provenance, verified releases and operator-facing agents. This index distinguishes live capabilities from previews and planned work. Indagate software is not a safety-rated control. PLC logic, safety relays, interlocks, emergency stops, configured site policy and accountable human operators remain authoritative. The canonical Indagate tenant assistant is named Argo. Other tenant deployments may configure a different assistant name. ## Start here - [Platform overview](https://docs.indagate.ai/overview): Product surfaces, current capabilities and service map. - [Quickstart](https://docs.indagate.ai/quickstart): Invitation, device enrolment and first heartbeat. -
